This page sets out the terms for booking a 1-to-1 online Functional Skills Maths lesson with Phil through functionalskillsmaths.online/book. It applies alongside our general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which govern the rest of the site.
1. Lessons & pricing
- Lessons are 1 hour each, delivered online by video call (a Google Meet link is generated automatically and included in your confirmation email).
- The price is £45 per lesson. If you are paying from outside the UK, our payment provider (Stripe) automatically converts this to your local currency at checkout — you are always charged the equivalent of £45.
- You can book up to 8 lessons in a single checkout and pay for them together in one payment. Each lesson is still treated individually for confirmation and cancellation purposes (see below).
2. Availability & booking window
- Lessons can be booked up to 2 months in advance.
- Lessons must be booked at least 12 hours before the lesson start time.
- Available times are computed from Phil's real calendar availability and update live — a time shown as available when you load the page may occasionally be taken by another booking in the moments before you pay. If that happens, that lesson is automatically refunded in full and you'll be notified by email.
3. Payment & confirmation
- Payment is taken at the time of booking via Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- On successful payment, each lesson is instantly confirmed, added to Phil's calendar, and a confirmation email is sent with the video call link and a cancellation link for that lesson.
4. Cancellations & refunds
- You can cancel any confirmed lesson for a full refund, free of charge, up to 24 hours before that lesson's start time — use the cancellation link in your confirmation email. No login is required.
- Cancelling one lesson from a multi-lesson booking only cancels and refunds that lesson — any other lessons booked in the same checkout are unaffected.
- No refund is given for a lesson cancelled less than 24 hours before its start time, or for a no-show (failing to attend a confirmed lesson without cancelling in advance).
5. Information we collect for a booking
To book a lesson we collect: the booking contact's name and email, the pupil's name, and the level the pupil is studying towards. This is used only to run the lesson (calendar event, video call, confirmation emails) and to contact you about it. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data generally.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows the current version. The policy in force at the time you book is the one that applies to that booking.
