Who we are
Functional Skills Maths (functionalskillsmaths.online) is built and run by Developing Maths Ltd, a UK-based maths tutoring and education company. We started by tutoring Functional Skills learners 1:1 and built this platform to give every learner access to the same structured, exam-focused revision — not just the ones who can afford private tuition.
What we do
- Topic drills — short, focused practice on one skill at a time, with instant marking and worked explanations
- Printable worksheets — for classroom use, homework, or offline revision
- Checkpoint papers — full-length practice assessments styled on real exam conditions
- Diagnostic and readiness assessments — to help learners work out whether they're ready for Level 1 or Level 2, and whether they're exam-ready
- Past papers — a library of official past papers and mark schemes from multiple exam boards
Functional Skills Maths Level 1 vs Level 2
Both levels are assessed by a single 2-hour exam split into a 30-minute non-calculator section and a 1 hour 30 minute calculator section, worth 60 marks in total. The difference is in the topics covered and the level of demand — not how long the exam lasts.
